Delicioso Beef with Peppers

Makes for two ... and then some extra

1 piece of ribeye steak
2 slices of white onion
1/2 a green pepper

Slice the steak to 1/2 cm strips
season with 2 tsp light soya sauce, 1 clove minced garlic & 1/2 tsp of ginger, dashes of pepper and a splash of wochester sauce (though i think this is optional)

Heat the pan with hot oil and toss in the onions.
Toss onion after 30 seconds to the other side
Low fire
Slide in the marinated beef and place the lid over pan.
cook depending on your rawness level, but it shouldn't be long as its sliced already
Flip the beef so they cook on the other side and throw in the peppers.
Close the lid and turn off the stove after 2 mins
Set aside for a few minutes

Place meat over rice or a plate of salad.

YUM!

Emma agrees too and she doesn't eat beef. :)

Delicioso Chicken Salad

So... till I travel again next summer, I thought I'd fill in the time with a few very simple recipies which require very simple ingredients and very little washing!

Chicken Salad
Serves 2

6 chicken breast strips
1 clove finely minced garlic
1/2 tsp finely minced ginger
pinch of salt & pepper
Generous shake of cajun seasoning (at least cover one side of the chicken)
1 tablespoon of honey

For best flavour, marinate the chicken overnight.

Pan fry the chicken.
slice the cooked chicken

Place the sliced chicken over a plate of mix leafy greens and top with various leftover toppings (both sweet and savoury) like:

Olives, cherry tomatoes, leftover shedded cheese & ... spoons of fruit cocktail...!

You don't have to top with anything, so its really up to your liking. I trust sundried tomatoes would be amazing too. Dress the salad with the marinate you will get when you cook the chicken.

I wish I had a camera to show the process. Alas, I ate it all and went for seconds!!!

I got this from a friend, so on a lazy saturday morning, I decided to give it a try, and what a hoot! One of the celebrties (which i deleted) that came up was a white-male, newscaster (?) Dan Rather..!

But it is interesting how I look more of a male than female. . . . .

Totally, totally miffed.

I've been to Puerto Rico, New York, London, Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, Auckland, Bern, Copenhagen, Egypt, Istanbul, Taipei, Adelaide, Bangkok, Manila, Phuket, Bali, Brunei, Seoul.

I've met with thousands of people from all over the world whom come to Singapore and they say we are extremely hospitable and courteous.

Today, I laugh everytime I hear that comment.

Never, have I ever been so upset, disappointed and peeved at people's behaviour.

Being impatient and rude is a universal trademark. But it seems to be more evident in people that live in Singapore. Not just Singaporeans.

Nobody ever gives way: both on the road and on walkways.
Hardly any drivers stop at pedestrian walkways.
People cut cues just to gain 10 seconds.
Motorists go bumper to bumper to gain 10 seconds.
Nobody says 'thank you' to service staff or to people that leave doors ajar for one to enter/exit.
People that rush/shove their way into MRT's before letting people off.

Is it so hard to learn manners?
Is it so hard for words of appreciation to come out of your mouth?
Is it so hard to be patient and wait for your turn?

Yes, I understand, none of these things are being taught in school, so how can you know right from wrong.

Simple. When there is a que, line up and wait your turn. Likewise for MRT stations. Logic demonstraits that the more people you let out, the more room you have inside, etc...

Being nice and considerate should come from your inner self. There are some things in life that cannot be taught. It's called being human.

I am so sick of our behaviour.

Disgusted. Shocked. Mortified.

I wish you have quadruplets if you ever do any of the listed above.

Our courtesy campaign is obviously not working.
